The Dobbs Foundation is now accepting Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for our Summer 2025 grantmaking cycle, with a streamlined process designed to meet the urgency of this moment.
Our streamlined process is designed to make participation easier and more accessible. This cycle, we’re focusing on thoughtful investments that reflect community priorities in the following areas:
- -Health: with a focus on youth mental health and overall wellbeing
- -Education: emphasizing equity and access for all learners
- -Environment: supporting environmental justice and regional resilience
We’re especially interested in efforts that:
- -Leverage collaborative or pooled funding
- -Engage or are led by intermediary organizations
- -Build community support and shift narratives to inspire lasting change
- -Address urgent or time-sensitive community needs
Timeline:
- -LOI Submission Period: April 1 – May 1, 2025 (rolling review begins immediately)
- -Invitation to Apply: By May 9, 2025
- -Full Proposals Due (if invited): Late May 2025
- -Final Funding Decisions: Late June 2025
Submitting an LOI does not guarantee funding or an invitation to submit a full proposal. All LOIs will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and applicants will be notified if they are selected to move forward.
The Dobbs Foundation was established in 1959 by Howard Dobbs Jr., co-founder of the Life Insurance Company of Georgia.
The foundation is governed by trustees consisting of family members and community experts. Core funding priorities are environment, emphasizing conservation efforts across Georgia and childhood/adolescent mental health.
The Dobbs Foundation works to balance these priorities while adapting to emerging community needs.
