Boston Impact Initiative: Pitch Interest


BII Fund II prioritizes investments in enterprises that address an unmet need or issue affecting communities of color, build climate resilience and expand clean energy solutions, and grow worker or community power and voice, including co-ops, worker-owned and unionized businesses.
We are also seeking to invest in commercial and residential real estate projects that support community ownership or control of land to prevent displacement.
Who we invest in:
- Ownership: Enterprises owned by people of color (Asian, Black, Latino, Indigenous) and commercial and residential real estate projects that have community-ownership or governance/control, including projects owned by developers of color)
- Impact: Builds financial, social, and political power for communities of color
- Stage: Pre-Seed, Seed, Start-up, and Growth
- Location: Massachusetts and the Northeast
Investment Range:
As an integrated capital fund, BII is uniquely positioned to provide a range of investment types to meet your financing needs, including term loans, lines of credit, revenue-based financing, convertible notes, and equity.
Investment Ranges:
- Small Business Equity: $100,000-$1,000,000
- Small Business Debt: $100,000-$500,000
- Real Estate Debt & Equity: $500,000-$2,000,000
