Boettcher Foundation: Webb-Waring Biomedical Research Awards Program

Called Boettcher Investigators, recipients of the Webb-Waring Biomedical Research Awards Program receive grants of $250,000 to cover up to three years of biomedical research. The grants help these early career Investigators to establish themselves and their research. As a result, they become competitive for major awards from federal agencies and private sources.
By funding researchers at this critical juncture, the Boettcher Foundation seeks to keep promising research on track and ensure that Colorado’s best scientific minds aren’t compelled to leave the state in search of funding.
Investigators from the following institutions may be eligible to apply:
- University of Colorado System
- Colorado State University
- National Jewish Health
- Bonfils Blood Center
- Colorado College
- Colorado School of Mines
- Craig Hospital
- Colorado Mesa University
- Metropolitan State University of Denver
- Regis University
- University of Denver
- University of Northern Colorado
How to Apply
Our biomedical research institution partners manage their own internal, competitive, and peer-reviewed application processes. If you are an early career biomedical researcher in Colorado who is interested in applying for a grant through the Webb-Waring Biomedical Research Awards Program, please contact your institution’s research department to learn more information about eligibility.
